About Chris Spedding
After graduating from the University of Louisville School of Law, I practiced law in Louisville for 14 years. While in Louisville, I was a criminal defense lawyer, and I served for five years as general counsel for a large automotive dealer group. That’s where I learned the intricacies of the automotive sales and service business. That job allowed me to network with representatives of the various regulatory agencies that oversee the industry. I also worked closely with many manufacturer representatives. This gives me a unique body of experience to draw from when working on matters related to auto dealer law. After 14 years in Louisville, I decided I needed to become a Lexington Kentucky Criminal Defense Lawyer who serves the entire region, including Lexington and Fayette County.
Practicing as a criminal defense lawyer in Lexington since 2006
In 2006, I moved back to Lexington and opened my own criminal defense practice. I’ve now been practicing law in Lexington and Louisville for more than 20 years. I have a passion for the law. I handle each case personally. I mount the most effective legal defense possible for my clients and draw on my experience in the auto industry when representing my auto clients. Remember, bad things happen to good people. When you find yourself involved with the government in a criminal case or dealing with one of the many issues involving the auto business, I bring a unique perspective and body of knowledge to the situation to assist my clients.
Defending those charged with crimes throughout the Bluegrass region
Although my criminal defense practice is based in my downtown Lexington (Fayette County) office, I serve clients throughout the region. It is not uncommon for me to represent criminal defendants in any of the surrounding counties, including Anderson, Boyle, Bourbon, Clark, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, Shelby and Woodford.
